Pink Lemonade Sunsets and Cerebral Embrace

Pink Lemonade Sunsets and Cerebral Embrace

Is it poetry that writes of candy clouds
and blueberry moons,
chocolate horizons
humming melodic tunes,
warm creamy seas
upon oceans contrite,
for washing off shores
on marshmallow nights.

Can words image berries,
churning ice lolly dreams,
or is it people reading…
…from sweet tasting reams,
creating possibilities of an enlightening sky,
to ease continuing troubles
from dark liquorice eyes.

Read from the pages…
..of a world covered in flakes,
pink lemonade sunsets…
…and cerebral embrace,
where the softest smiles,
introduce ripplets of care,
spreading sugary coatings
from poetry fruit fayre.

Is it only poetry that writes of cherry falls
and sherbert fountains,
lollipop trees…
upon toffee mountains,
rivers of milkshake, flowing…
…strawberry lace veins,
enabling confectionery worlds
to breathe sweet metaphorical plains…
